Our portfolio includes a web application, a windows client and native apps for iOS and Android. We’ve been the market leader in this sector for 40 years. One of our core competencies are the optimization algorithms built within our products, ranging from timetable optimization to substitution planning and course scheduling. In order to continue leading this segment, we need your help.

 

What you will be doing

 

  • You'll work together with our optimization experts to maintain and improve our optimization algorithms
  • Analyze and document the optimization algorithms in our product suite
  • Evaluate the use of new heuristic or metaheuristic approaches in our products
  • Design and develop new algorithmic approaches to boost performance and improve functionality
  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate our algorithms into production
  • Participate in scientific conferences and keep in contact with the scientific community

  • An annual salary starting at 50.000 euros. We're open to pay more depending on your qualification and experience + a bonus depending on the company success

Requirements

What we expect from you

  • You want your academic experience to be used in the real world and benefit millions of people
  • You have a MSc or PhD degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or engineering
  • Several years of experience in research and development of complex optimization algorithms. Published papers in the field will be considered favourably.
  • Good knowledge of C-style programming languages
  • You are constantly learning and are interested in new developments in science and technology
  • You are excited to solve complex problems
  • Good English skills are a must, good German skills even better
